Acceptable Conduct
Respect for all members:
All members must respect one another. Even though there might be some disagreements among members, everyone is to respect ones opinion and keep any personal attacks out of the forums.
Back Seat Moderators:
Members are asked to not act as "back seat moderators". If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the Moderator Team. Only do this if a moderator team member has not replied within 6 hours. Do not respond to such topics yourself. Members who consistently "act" as moderators will be warned, banned, etc.
Members cannot have extra accounts:
Members will not be allowed to have 2nd accounts at Create Some Shit .org.
Language:
Please refrain from using obscene language on the forum as little as possible. These words include anything that may be used against fellow members.
"Fuck you Fuck head" <--- NOT ACCEPTABLE
"Holy Fuck that's Sooo cool!" <--- ACCEPTABLE
Usernames:
Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience.
We will not allow usernames that will confuse our ranks. Usernames with words such as Admins, Mods.
Descriptive Titles:
Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles include; "Help me!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got an error!", etc. Examples of good titles include; "Need help with Software or Brand and Model Number". Title a thread you create meaningfully.
No Hi-jacking:
Please do not hi-jack another member's thread and turn it around and make it your own. When replying to a thread, please keep in mind the original authors subject.
No Cross-Posting or Flooding:
Duh!
Abnormal Writing:
Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons (smileys), large, small or colored text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT (ALL CAPS) or use excessive punctuation in topic titles or posts.
Warez/Crackz/Etc:
We don't allow topics or links being presented here that discuss or share information about getting free versions of music or programs that would otherwise be sold by such official companies. Do not post links to illegal music or program downloads. Don't request links to illegal music or program downloads.
Spamming:
Absolutely no spamming is allowed on the forums. If you get caught spamming without the approval of the administration you will be banned.
We also do not allow new posts to just provide a link to another website (competition).
Bans:
Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban will lead to that ban being made permanent. Circumvention includes re-registering under a non-banned username, changing IP addresses to evade an IP ban, registering a new email account of evade an email ban. Circumvention includes posting as an anonymous user.
Rights of Members:
Member status is a privilege.
Any member who does not obey by the rules and regulation of CreateSomeShit.org or condones unacceptable behavior on more than one occasion is subject to termination and banned from the forum.
All members have the right to be treated fairly by all members and Moderators. None of your personal information will be given out to any 3rd party company.
Moderators, Host Experts, and Support Teams:
The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users. Please don't argue with team members.
